Security Protocol and Security Measures:
Seneca Security uses various procedures to safeguard secure information collected from our customers. These procedures include physical, electronic, and managerial protocols to prevent access by unauthorized parties, ensure the correct use of collected information, and maintain data accuracy.
For example, we employ a firewall, a recognized industry standard to protect private account information. This prevents customer information from being available to unauthorized users or computers by preventing its direct access to the Internet.
Seneca Security uses SSL technology, an industry standard for secure online transactions, to encrypt sensitive information. SSL stands for Secure Socket Layering, and the process includes scrambling information based on a key that has both a private and public parts. The combined aspects of this security measure scramble user information while it is in transit, which makes it extremely difficult to decrypt by unwanted parties. The private part of the key is only used by the party receiving encrypted information, and allows that party to decode it.
To improve your shopping experience, Seneca Security may also use cookies, or data a website sends to a browser. The data allows websites to know when a previous user has returned. This information is stored on the user’s computer hard drive, and does not automatically give personal information unless users allow it. If users choose to provide this personal information, a cookie can help target content to the user based on their previous interests and preferences. Cookies are also used to analyze data collected from website traffic.
Once again, we value the trust our customers place in our staff and our systems. As such, we encourage our customers to feel safe making credit card purchases, whether online at SenecaSecurity.com or over the phone.
