Residential Cabling

Ethernet Everywhere in Your Home —
No Dead Zones, No Wi-Fi Excuses

We run Cat6 ethernet to every room that needs it — home office, living room, bedroom, or media closet. Wired internet is faster, more reliable, and more secure than Wi-Fi. We make it invisible.

What We Install

Residential Ethernet & Cabling Solutions

Every drop planned, routed, terminated, and tested. Clean installs with cables inside the walls — not stapled along the baseboard.

Home Office Wiring

Dedicated wired ethernet drops at your desk. No more video call drops, no more competing with everyone else on the Wi-Fi. Your connection is stable because it's physically separate.

Whole-Home Ethernet

Cat6 runs to every room that matters — living room, bedrooms, kitchen, home theatre. One central patch panel or media closet keeps everything organized and manageable.

Gaming & Streaming Drops

Wired ethernet for your TV, game console, or streaming device delivers consistent throughput that Wi-Fi can't match, especially in NYC buildings with congested wireless spectrum.

Smart Home Infrastructure

Reliable wired backbone for smart home hubs, NAS devices, and IoT equipment. Keeps your smart home responsive and reduces Wi-Fi congestion from low-priority devices.

Home Theatre Wiring

HDMI, Cat6, and speaker wire runs behind the wall for a clean home theatre setup. No surface raceways unless you want them — cables go inside the wall.

Clean Concealed Runs

All cable runs inside walls and through ceilings. Paintable raceways used only where in-wall routing isn't possible. The install is invisible when we're done.

Property Types

We Wire All NYC Residential Property Types

Pre-war plaster, modern drywall, concrete — we've run cable in all of them and know what to expect.

Wired vs. Wireless

Why Wi-Fi Alone Falls Short in NYC

Dense urban buildings are the worst environment for Wi-Fi. Wired ethernet eliminates the variables entirely.

Why Wi-Fi Alone Falls Short in NYC

  • Congested wireless spectrum in dense buildings — dozens of competing networks
  • Dead zones behind thick plaster and concrete walls
  • Inconsistent speeds during peak hours when neighbors are all streaming
  • Latency spikes that ruin video calls and gaming
  • Every device on Wi-Fi adds load and degrades performance for others

What Wired Ethernet Delivers

  • Full-speed, dedicated connection — not shared with the whole building's wireless spectrum
  • Zero dead zones — cable runs where Wi-Fi can't reach
  • Consistent throughput regardless of what others in the building are doing
  • Sub-millisecond latency for video calls and gaming
  • Wi-Fi freed up for mobile devices — wired devices off the wireless network entirely
How It Works

From Walkthrough to Working Drops

Every residential cabling job starts with a walkthrough and ends with every drop tested and verified.

01

Home Walkthrough

We identify which rooms need drops, plan the cable routes, and locate a central termination point (patch panel or media closet). Flat-price quote before any work.

02

Cable Routing Plan

We map the path through walls and ceilings, identifying any obstacles. In older NYC buildings we'll flag where routing is tricky and give you options.

03

Installation & Termination

Cat6 pulled through walls to each jack location, terminated and labeled at both ends. Central patch panel installed and organized.

04

Testing & Handoff

Every drop tested for continuity and speed. Your router connected and verified. Walkthrough so you know where every jack goes.

FAQ

Common Questions About Residential Ethernet Wiring

In most cases yes. We use flexible drill bits and fish tape to route cable through wall cavities. Pre-war plaster buildings are more challenging than drywall, but we've run cable in both. We'll walk your space before quoting and be straight about where routing may require a small access patch.
A single home office drop typically runs $250–$500 installed. A whole-home project with 4–8 drops and a central patch panel runs $1,200–$3,000 depending on the number of drops and how difficult the routing is. We price per job after a walkthrough — NYC apartments vary too much for a flat rate to mean anything.
For video calls, gaming, or streaming 4K content, wired ethernet is meaningfully better. In NYC buildings with 30+ competing wireless networks, wired connections avoid the congestion entirely. If your current Wi-Fi is adequate, we'll tell you honestly — we don't upsell drops you don't need.
We install Cat6 as standard for residential work. Cat6 supports 10-Gigabit at the distances typical in apartments and homes, and is the right choice for anything installed in 2024 and beyond. Cat6A is overkill for residential; Cat5e is underspec for future-proofing.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on the building construction and routing path. In apartments with drop ceilings or accessible utility chases, it's often possible. In solid concrete construction it may not be. We assess this during the walkthrough — we won't quote a concealed run if it isn't actually feasible.
