What is included in a full conference room or boardroom AV installation?
Usually displays or a projector, a video conferencing camera, microphones, speakers and a control system that ties it all together. We handle the whole scope, from running cable through walls and ceilings to programming the touch panel and setting up Zoom or Microsoft Teams. In older NYC office buildings with concrete construction or little ceiling access, we plan the routing carefully to keep the install clean and up to code. Every room is designed around how your team actually uses it, whether that is daily client presentations or hybrid meetings.
Can you install distributed audio so music plays throughout the space?
Yes. We install multi-zone audio so music or announcements play across an office, store or restaurant, with each zone controlled on its own: background music in the lobby at one level, the dining room at another, a private office off. In pre-war buildings with thick plaster and concrete floors, we plan speaker placement and cable routes to keep disruption low and coverage even, with no exposed wiring and no dead spots.
Do you handle the cabling as part of the AV installation?
Yes. Cabling is part of every AV install, not a separate line item. Our technicians run HDMI, Cat6, speaker wire and control cables through walls, ceilings and conduit. In dense NYC buildings, where pathways are shared with other trades or restricted by building management, we coordinate access and follow DOB and building rules. Clean, hidden cabling is standard, not an upgrade.
Can multiple displays be controlled from a single panel or remote?
Yes. We design and program control systems that run multiple displays, sources and devices from one touch panel, tablet or remote. Switching inputs, changing volume or turning off every screen becomes one tap, which suits open offices, multi-room suites and retail staff who are not technical. Control can also tie in lighting and shades for one simple room experience.
How long does a typical commercial AV installation take?
One day for a single conference room is common. A full multi-zone buildout across a floor can take one to two weeks. It depends on the cabling, the number of zones and displays, and the building: many NYC co-ops and commercial buildings need advance approval and limit work hours. We coordinate with building management early and give you a clear timeline before work starts.
