Elevator security system repair, from the machine room to the cab.
Emergency phone lines that have gone dead, cameras in the cab, card readers and floor lockout. We install and repair the low-voltage side of your elevators, coordinated with your elevator contractor.
Every elevator problem lives between the line and the cab.
Tap what you are seeing. We will show you where it usually breaks and how we fix it.
The emergency phone in the cab does nothing when pressed, or the line has no dial tone.
We test the copper line at the demarc, the machine room wiring, the pair to the cab, then the phone itself.
The phone dials out, but it reaches a wrong number, an old monitoring service, or nobody at all.
We reprogram the phone to reach a live answering point and test the call end to end.
A call connects, but the audio is garbled, one-way, or too faint to use.
We test the phone unit and the line, then swap a noisy pair in the traveling cable for a clean spare.
The camera in the cab shows offline or no picture on your recorder.
We test the camera, the extender or bridge, and the cable, then repair the part that failed.
Badges do nothing at the reader in the car, while readers on the doors still work.
We test the reader and its data path, then restore the link to your access panel.
Floors that should be locked are open, or people with access cannot reach their floor.
We check schedules and access levels first, then test the interface with your elevator contractor.
The phone, camera or reader works with the car at some floors and drops out at others.
We test the pairs while the car moves, then move the service to a clean pair or repair the termination.
The carrier has sent notice that the copper line serving the elevator phone is being retired.
We install a cellular or digital line unit, move the phone over and test that the call reaches a live answer.
An inspection flagged the elevator phone, and the building needs it corrected.
We fix what failed, retest the call path, and give you a written summary for the file.

Elevator phone dead?
A dead cab phone is a safety problem and a failed inspection waiting to happen. Most are the copper line, the phone unit or a pair in the traveling cable. We test from the line inward and coordinate with your elevator contractor for anything in the hoistway.
What we install and repair.
Every low-voltage system that rides in or serves the elevator, on any phone, camera or access platform.
Most NYC cab phones still run on copper. We repair the line and the phone, and handle the cutover when a carrier retires it.
A camera in the cab, recorded on the system you already have. Over spare pairs where they exist, a wireless bridge where they do not.
A reader in the car tied to your existing access control, so the cab follows the same credentials as the doors.
Limit which floors a credential can reach, by person and by time. We handle the access side, your elevator contractor connects the controller.
Cameras and access at the elevator lobby and hall, tied into the same systems as the cab.
We test spare pairs and terminate them for phone, camera and reader use, and coordinate a replacement with your elevator contractor when it is needed.
Not sure what is in your cab? Text us a photo of the phone panel.
We stay on our side of the line.
Elevators put two trades in the same shaft. We handle the low-voltage systems: phone lines, cameras, readers and the wiring that feeds them. Your elevator contractor handles the controller and the car. We plan the work together, so the car comes out of service once, not twice.
Elevator contractors call us too, when a job needs a camera, a reader or a phone line in the cab.
Plan an elevator job →What an elevator job looks like.
We plan around the car, so it comes out of service once.
Phone triage
Which cars, what fails, and who your elevator contractor is. Five minutes on the phone tells us what to bring.
Coordinate the car
For anything in the hoistway, we book the visit with your elevator contractor so their mechanic is there.
Fix or install
Line repair, cab phone swaps, camera, reader and floor lockout work, done in the window the car is out.
Test every car
The phone reaches a live answer, the camera records, readers and floors respond. Written summary for the elevator file.
Repair, or add to the cab?
Keep the copper line working
Most NYC cab phones still run on copper, and most dead ones are a repairable line or phone. When a carrier does retire the line, we move the phone to a cellular or digital line unit and test the call path.
A camera without a new traveling cable
Spare pairs in the existing traveling cable can often carry a camera. Where they cannot, a wireless bridge avoids replacing the cable.
