Access control panel offline? We bring the system back online.
The panel shows offline, the software cannot connect, doors fell back to fail-safe, or nobody has the admin login. We diagnose power, network, firmware and the server, and recover admin access for any brand.
The software shows the panel disconnected. Doors may still work on cards stored in the panel, or may have fallen back to fail-safe. A network or power problem, and we check both.
Software shows it offline

Panel dark, no lights
The panel lost power or the main board died. Every door on that panel is affected. A failed power supply, a blown fuse, or a board failure.
Lit, but not talking
Status lights are on, but the panel does not reach the software or the cloud. A cable, a switch port, a firewall rule or firmware. A laptop at the panel finds it in minutes.
Software will not open
You cannot get into the admin software at all. The server is down, a service did not start, or the database is corrupted. A different repair from a panel that is offline.
Nobody has the login
The system works, but nobody can log in. The installer left, the management company changed, or the password was lost over the years. We recover admin access.
Bricked by an update
A firmware update went bad. The panel will not boot, or boots and refuses connections. It needs a reflash, and we have the tools for the common brands.
The five common culprits, in the order we check them.
Panels go offline for a short list of reasons. We work through them in this order.
Power supply failure
The access control power supply has died or is browning out, and every door on that panel is affected. It sits in the closet next to the panel. A clean swap once it is isolated.
Network connection lost
The panel lost its link to the network. A dead switch port, a damaged cable, a network change that isolated it, or a new router that broke the firewall rules. Common right after IT work.
Firmware or server failure
A firmware update went bad, the server service crashed, or the database is corrupted. We reflash the panel, restart the service, or restore the database from backup. The steps vary by brand.
Lost admin login
Nobody knows the password, usually after an installer or management company change. Recovery goes through the vendor with proof of ownership, a factory reset with the settings exported first, or a console reset. The path depends on the brand.
Controller board failure
The board itself died from lightning, a surge, water or age. A board swap on most current panels, with the settings restored from the server. For discontinued panels we often fit a modern panel that works with your existing readers and locks.
Panel offline and doors acting up?
Most panels keep working on stored cards when they lose the server. If doors went stuck locked or stuck open instead, the panel itself or its power is down. That is a priority call.
You do not need the original installer.
Most panel recovery calls are on systems we did not install, often with no admin password and no paperwork. We identify the panel, recover access, and fix the connection.
The panel brands we service
Access control panels and platforms common across NYC buildings. Plus proprietary and rebadged panels from installers who are long gone.
The server, software and admin side
Panel repair often comes with server recovery, especially after a management change. Firmware, server software, the database and admin access, handled in the same job.
Panels are usually worth repairing.
When we repair
An offline panel is usually a repair, not a replacement. A power supply, a network fix or a firmware reflash brings it back without touching the rest of the system. Even hardware failures on current panels are usually a board swap.
When we recommend replacing
The panel is a dead model with no parts and no firmware updates, it cannot work with the readers or locks you want to add, or the brand is out of business. Then we lay out the upgrade path with honest numbers.

Four steps, and we confirm the whole system is healthy before we leave.
Phone triage
Panel dark, software shows offline, locked out of admin, or a failed update. Five minutes on the phone narrows the recovery path and tells us what tools to bring.
On-site diagnostic
Power at the panel, network reach, boot status and the server services. The first 20 minutes isolates the fault.
Fix, order or recover
Power supplies, network faults and firmware reflashes are same-visit. Specialty boards get a firm order date. Admin recovery runs alongside the physical repair.
Verify the system
Panel online, software connected, test cards work on several doors, and the event log is recording. Written summary, and any recovered logins handed to you securely.
